Very nice experience. Went there for a friends' B-Day dinner, and the staff had our party of nine seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Our server, April, was very friendly, patient, and helpful. She did a fantastic job with our group. Prices are decent for the quality & quantity of food. Definitely would dine here again.

What an AMAZING birthday dinner. Our server, Aidan, and the entire staff were attentive and constantly checked in to see how everything was. The food was unbelievable. I got the special - Peruvian fried pork belly with a caesar salad and the white sangria. Everything was perfect and definitely recommend stopping in for any occasion. Will be back!

We had a party of 6 for my 50th birthday this past Saturday and from the moment we walked in the bar for every other dining experience was raised. The card and balloon made us feel like this place actually wants and appreciates those that choose to spend their money with them. The service was excellent, very professional without being pretentious. We could not have had better service. Everyone ordered something different and it was all phenomenal. The portions were large and the flavor combinations were first rate. Only complaint I would have is that they let me cancel a reservation last July for my wife's birthday, had they made me keep the reservation, I probably would have written this last July. Thank you to the entire staff/ owners for an absolutely unforgettable 50th birthday dinner!!

Not many great places to eat but this one is definitely a good one. From the appetizers, brunch and even the kids menu is on point. Highly recommend. Also wonderful place to have a birthday dinner with the kids or a romantic date night.

Update to my previous review... Their food is still wonderful. I decided to order to-go and was a bit disappointed that they don't open now until 5:00pm (used to be 4:00). I tried calling in my order just before 5:00 so it could be put in right when they opened. That didn't work out so well. I would still go back and recommend their establishment. Love this place! Been there twice now and the food and service were great both times. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy as well. I am not a huge fan of onions, but if you have the chance....try their onion tangles. They are a delicious appetizer. Tried their creme brulee for dessert, and it was good, but I have had better.

Montero's is a hidden gem in the little town of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The atmosphere is classy. The decor is understated and nice. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. The food is fabulous. There are many vegetarian options, seafood, beef, chicken and even pork. The options are diverse. I had Spinach and Mushroom Wellington. The portion was large. I had mashed potatoes as my side. My husband had the crab cakes. He got the larger plate with 2 cakes. His sides were fries and cole slaw. His crab cakes were wonderful. In addition to the yummy food, we had for appetizer. My husband had the vegetarian lumpia. I had the small orange salad. Our experience was great. We were seated immediately when we arrived at opening time (5 p.m.). The restaurant was already filling up. When we left, there were people waiting for a table. Bonus points for super clean bathrooms and lots of parking.

Honestly, I need to frequent this amazing eatery more often. Since we first found it, it was SO SPECIAL we’ve saved it for special occasions. That being said, the staff makes you feel extra special, “almost” better than family LOL. Go now and you’ll see what I mean! Delicious offerings, big portions, attentive waitstaff, fair pricing?! What are you waiting for... They have it all!

Awesome dining experience between the atmosphere and comfort of the staff from the management down to hostesses. Our server, Dylan, was very personable, knowledgeable, and courteous. The food was exceptional, my table had the Maple Glazed Salmon and Crab-cake Sandwich. A must when in Elizabeth City!
